“I want a home of my dreams where I can live in harmony”
Many forms in nature express radially, out from a strong centre. The effect of this pattern immediately introduces a sense of stability, yet also holds strong a feeling of openness and expansion. The centre of such a structure invites a stillness, from which arises a lot of movement and play. So it with this house design, which allows the spaces and rooms to flow freely and connect with each other.
The geometric basis of this design anchors this movement with the balancing of two circles which ripple out into each other, akin to the interference pattern made in water when two pebbles are dropped into it at the same time. This geometric interplay introduces two sides which balance the primary uses of any home; the living and sleeping zones. Coupled with this dynamic is a relationship between the two curved roofs, which open the walls under to receive light, both directly and through reflection. The result is a home that seems to breathe with the occupants; stretching and flowing outwards into the landscape, whilst keeping a secret inner space within. There are three to four bedrooms, with a possibility to expand another living space into the upper back roof.
This house suits families who envision their home as being both a special sanctuary and a beautiful place to enjoy all that living together entails. It is perfect for people who wish to optimise the harvesting of heat, light and energy, and to do so in a building that naturally flows and moves with them.
